Position/Title: Outreach Officer
An Outreach Officer staffs Nirbhau Management Corporation’s operations center supporting a mission-critical and highly visible U.S. Government project. The candidate will be responsible for making initial contact with personnel designated by the U.S. Department of State that are eligible for relocation out of Afghanistan to a designated Overseas Processing Platform (OPP) location.
The candidate will be required to confirm personally identifiable information (PII) and contact information, ensure travelers have required travel documents, and provide detailed instructions to eligible personnel on the logistics of movement from Afghanistan to the designated OPP. Applicant must be a positive, flexible, self-starter who is able to excel in this fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to exercise extreme discretion and judgment on a routine basis when performing their duties. Exceptional technical, communication and interpersonal skills are a necessity, including the ability to effectively communicate via written and verbal media. Candidate must also be fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari. This position functions as part of a team with a sense of ownership and dedication to mission.

Responsible for the following tasks:
​
• Work in a systems operation center environment.
• Making initial contact with eligible travelers; collecting and confirming travelers have the
required travel documents; provide instructions related to logistics of movement from their
location to OPP.
• Provide continuous information sharing, knowledge management, communications, and
reporting support through collaborative business processes.
• Provide detailed analysis of data, identifying variations, discrepancies, and outliers in a
given set of data.
• Develop detailed and technical written products for senior-level customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Education
​
• Knowledge of office software and IT Systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Full Professional Proficiency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Economics, Business, Political Science, or
Communications.
Work is performed in the Rosslyn, VA area.
